We are pleased to announce our 50th Class Reunion will be held on Saturday, Sept 19 at Giovanni's and will have The Classix band playing our favorite tunes.  Registration forms will be mailed mid-July.  We will have a mixer on Friday, Sept 18 at Sam's Restaurant on Riverside and Mulford. Hi everyone and how you all doing? Almost a whole year has passed since our last reunion. Pretty soon we will have to start thinking about our 50th. (We can't be that old huh).

Just found out about the passing of Penny Ellison on 8/09/2011. She lost a battle with cancer. She was a teacher and sounds like she was a great role model for the students.

For those of you on Facebook, there is group called: Growing up in Rockford IL. It is a lot of fun to read about the postings from folks who can remember all the old hang outs, movie theaters, restaurants, etc. You'll have to check it out. If you want to contribute, you will have to join the group.

If you like old postcards and views of Rockford back in the day, check out: http://www.jonrfd.com. This is a great website that has a lot of post cards that will bring back many memories.

WHS Reunion

What a great time we had. On Friday night we had approximately 50 classmates show up for the Happy Hour @ Player's Pizza. A few of the classmates could not join us on Saturday night but were able to come on Friday. There was plenty of good food and lots of catching up to do.

On Saturday night there were 110 of us to enjoy the delicious buffet and dance to the great music from our school years. We even sang the school song.

45TH ANNUAL CLASS REUNION

The 1965 class of Rockford West High School will hold its 45th class reunion on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the University Club, 945 North Main Street, Rockford. The evening begins with a delicious buffet, DJ and dancing and catching up with fellow classmates. Cocktails begin at 6:00 with a cash bar for your beverage choice. This will be a casual evening so come and be ready to have some fun!

We will also be having a Happy Hour on Friday, September 17, at Players Pizza Pub, 5120 Spooner Drive starting @ 6:00 PM. Appetizers will be served and there is a cash bar.

Invitations are being either emailed or mailed with the details of the reunion and hotel information for those of you traveling from out of town.
